MARKETING & DESIGN ASSISTANT

Gloria Duchin, Inc., a leading Rhode Island designer and manufacturer of seasonal ornaments and gifts, is seeking a Marketing and Design Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a passion for new ideas, a good eye for color and design, is well-organized, and web savvy. This position is full-time, based in Rumford, RI.

The selected candidate will be responsible for helping to facilitate with product design and photography, management of the company’s e-commerce and social media, preparing samples, and creating marketing reports. This position reports to the Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

• Aid in managing the company’s e-commerce presence, including processing and tracking web orders for multiple dropship sites and maintaining product imagery
• Be responsible for the company’s social media presence
• Help in planning new, online initiatives and web campaigns
• Assist in packaging and product design; help concept new ideas and create artwork
• Coordinate product samples for account meetings
• Produce e-commerce and product sales reports
• Create print-ready artwork from client files our promotional division
• Be willing to assistant in any number of tasks as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Graphic Design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with, or a willingness to learn product photography, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest platforms a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and assist multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline oriented environment.

• Ability to work independently as well as be team oriented.
